What Are Playbooks?

Playbooks in Andsend are your secret weapon for organizing and amplifying your conversations. They allow you to categorize your contacts into groups based on specific goals or contexts, and they give Andsend’s AI the guidance it needs to generate personalized, relevant messages.

Your playbooks directly impacts the quality of message generation. The more detailed and precise your Playbook settings and custom instructions are, the better the AI can craft messages that resonate with your audience.

Introduction

Playbooks provide detailed instructions to Andsend’s AI, specifying the purpose, tone, and context for each group of contacts. Whether you're running sales campaigns, inviting people to events, or nurturing professional relationships, Playbooks help you stay organized and efficient.

Getting Started with Playbooks

  1. Creating a playbook

    • Go to Playbooks

    • Click "New Playbook" to create a new one.

  2. Setting Up Your Playbook:

    • Set the Purpose: Define what you’re trying to achieve (e.g., product launch, investor outreach, event invitations, or regular client check-ins).

    • Set your Tone: Decide the tone for your AI, it can be formal, friendly, concise, long, or basically anything else.

    • Choose the Languages: Pick one or multiple languages. If Andsend detects a different language for the contact’s country where you haven't added it to your preferred languages, it will default to English.

    • Select primary Channel: Select what channel you prefer to start the conversation through, email or LinkedIn.

    • Custom Instructions (Most Important!): This is critical for getting high-quality, personalized message suggestions. Include product details, event specifics, or even examples of how you write. The more context you provide, the smarter the AI becomes.

    • Set as Default: Choose if this Playbook will be your default. New contacts will automatically be added to the default Playbook.

    • Save Your Playbook: Always save your Playbook once it’s ready. You can come back and edit it anytime, and Andsend will regenerate message suggestions based on the changes.

Create multiple Playbooks

Creating multiple Playbooks allows you to manage different types of conversations and goals effectively. By segmenting your contacts into different playbooks, you can ensure that your outreach remains personalized and relevant for every situation.

Why Create Multiple Playbooks?

  • Goal-Specific Outreach: Use separate Playbooks for different purposes, such as sales, marketing, networking, or event invitations.

  • Tailored Communication: Customize the tone, instructions, and purpose for each group, ensuring your messages align with their unique needs.

  • Efficient Management: Multiple Playbooks help you keep your contacts organized and make it easier to prioritize your actions.

Organizing Contacts in Playbooks

View Contacts in Each Playbook:
Once a Playbook is created, view it in the “Contacts” section (highlighted in red). Clicking a Playbook will show the associated contacts, making organization easy.

Moving Contacts to a Playbook:

Click the contact you want to move and assign it to your Playbook by clicking on the "Assign Playbook" button or the Playbook dropdown on each contact. You also have the option to reassign a contact to a new playbook from the conversations section.

Adding New Contacts to a Playbook:

When adding new contacts, use the dropdown arrow next to “Add” to assign them to the appropriate Playbook.
