Limited Use Disclosure

Andsend's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Justification for restricted API-scopes that Gmail users can choose to grant Andsend access to, inside the Andsend App

Andsend uses the “https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send”-scope in order to send emails (including email replies).

  • The reason a narrower scope would not be sufficient is because: Andsend needs the ability to send emails for providing the productivity value the Andsend web app should offer. According to Google Gmail API documentation the “gmail.send”-scope is the least restricted scope that allows for sending emails.

Andsend uses the "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly"-scope in order to retrieve email messages and threads that the user has access to, so the product can provide its core functionality (for example: understanding conversation context to draft replies, identifying relevant threads, and determining how to correctly reply within an existing thread using standard email headers such as sender(s), recipient(s), Message-ID, and References per RFC 2822).

  • Andsend processes email content only to the extent necessary to provide the requested features. Andsend does not store or log full email body content of every email; we implement data-minimization controls so that only the minimum required information is retained (for example, derived signals, cached partial body chunks and limited metadata needed for functionality).
