As a seasoned networker who firmly believes in the "pay it forward" culture and the notion that "your network is your net worth," I've been an Andsend superuser since the early days of our Alpha release in spring 2024. Beyond recruiting and following up with Andsend beta users, I've utilized Andsend for Kattalo, a bootstrapped impact startup focused on teaching kids to read and write.

"Your network is your net worth"

Currently, I manage 750 conversations across Andsend and Kattalo, a feat that would be nearly impossible without Andsend. While alternative methods like niche tools or hyper-productivity email tools exist, they don't capture the essence of modern relationship-building, which spans across channels like direct messages, emails, phone calls, meetings, and events. Authentic relationships are nurtured over time through these diverse interactions, creating long-term value built on social capital.

Time investment breakdown

Getting started with Andsend is straightforward, and you can be up and running in just 10 minutes. If you’re new and want to learn the essentials, check out our Get Started in 10 Minutes guide. It walks you through signing up, connecting your accounts, and setting up playbooks quickly. Once you’ve set everything up, come back to this article to learn how to maximize your experience and become an Andsend superuser.

  • 5 minutes: Sign up and connect your LinkedIn and email accounts.

  • 10 minutes: Create 2-3 playbooks.

  • 10 minutes: Add 50 contacts.

  • 5 minutes: Complete your first to-dos.

To maintain momentum, plan to invest 15 minutes per day or 30 minutes every other day to manage your to-dos effectively. While Andsend automates tedious tasks, our promise is that we will never send anything on your behalf without your approval, you are always in control.

Selecting your top contacts

The key step is identifying which 50 contacts merit being among your most important business relationships at the moment. Here's how you can approach this:

  1. Ongoing conversations: Add 10-20 people with whom you are currently communicating. Use the "Contact" tab, select "Import," and add relevant contacts from your LinkedIn inbox.

  2. Dormant relationships: Add 10-20 people in your network with whom you haven't interacted recently but wish to reconnect.

  3. New connections: Add 10-20 new people via the "Suggestions" tab in "Discover" or use the "Filter Search" to find new potential contacts.

Leveraging Andsend for relationship building

With your contacts added Andsend can now generate to-dos and messages to help you foster these professional relationships.

Initially, managing 750 contacts required significant daily investment, up to 60-120 minutes to complete 20-30 to-dos per day. This experience taught me that balancing efficiency with authenticity is crucial. Andsend is designed to help you manage relationships in a way that shows genuine interest and investment in the other person.

Tips for Success

  • Consistency is key: Regularly invest time in managing your to-dos to keep your relationships active.

  • Prioritize quality over quantity: Focus on building deeper relationships with a select group rather than shallow connections with many.

  • Stay authentic: Use Andsend's tools to enhance, not replace, your genuine interactions.

By following these guidelines, you can become an Andsend superuser, effectively managing your most important business relationships with confidence and ease.
